Where to STay for Roton Point Events....

Below are some suggested options for housing during the event along with button-links to more information. We'll keep this page as up to date as possible, and availability is highly time dependent, so please book your housing as soon as possible to be sure you're accommodations are locked in.
Your Tent
The Grounds at Roton Point are a beautiful place to pitch a tent for a Regatta. There is nothing like the sound of the sea to put you to sleep each night! Bring an air mattress, warm sleeping bag, and a lawn chair... Check our fleet's main photo gallery for some pictures of tenting at Roton, and ask in the chat box any questions... Christopher has tented here for 15 years, so we'll give you the low down about how to make the most of your stay in a tent.
Your RV
We're sure this will be a popular choice for those with RV's... If you plan on bringing your RV, please complete the RV Reservation form to tell us when you're arriving, how long your RV is and get us contact information so we can reserve a spot for you.... then stay in touch so we can get you settled in a great spot with access to 24 hour clean bathrooms and hot showers. There is no RV hook-up, but you wouldn't need one with the facilities so close to the parking.

Host Hotel: Hilton Garden Inn Norwalk
The Hilton Garden Inn gave us the best overall rates with free parking and pet friendly rooms available so we are holding a block of 10 rooms which competitors will be able to book for themselves. The direct booking button below takes you directly to the HGI room booking for our event. The discounted rate averages $159/night for 9/15-9/21 - you can edit your booking through the link below. If you call, ask for the discount for "Hobie 16 National Championship". The deadline for the discounted rate has passed as of August 19, 2024, but you can always try! The cancellation policy is at least 5 days prior to arrival. As a special bonus, HGI is giving us extra Hilton Honors rewards points which we're giving back to one competitor - if you are staying here, let us know so you can be entered into the drawing to get the extra points!

3. Click on "Edit Stay" - Choose Your Dates - Click "Done" - Click "Update"
4. Scroll Down, Choose Your Room Type & Click on "Quick Book"
5. Click on "Show Price Details" to Check Your Dates and Rate for Each Night.
6. Enter Credit Card & Guest Information and Click "Book Reservation"
What about A Host family?
Currently we are working to get all of our volunteers, RC and Judges housed, and the generosity of the Roton Point Association membership to offer their "spare rooms" for this purpose has allowed us to keep the entry fee for the NAC the same as they were in 2012 (about $100 off the 2023 event rates). Once we have that squared away, we'll look to see how many more guests can be accommodated for the week and post here how to make those arrangements. It is not likely that we'll be able to handle many requests, so please do not count on this option, but if you need it, please do reach out with the chat button or by e-mail.
